In April 2025, Unorthodox Therapy’s Founder and VP attended the City of Philadelphia’s “Your Budget, Your City” hearing, connecting with Council President Kenyatta Johnson, Councilmember Quetcy Lozada, Majority Leader Katherine Gilmore Richardson, and Executive Officer Daniel McCarty of the Philadelphia Fire Department. The nonprofit used this opportunity to advocate for increased mental health support, community resources, and women's empowerment in the city’s upcoming budget.

This powerful roundtable, held in collaboration with the Commissioner for Women’s Engagement under Mayor Cherelle Parker, set the stage for a year of impactful initiatives.
