Unorthodox Therapy Concludes Year with Final Councilmanic District 7 Tour Honoring Mental Health
Philadelphia, PA – Unorthodox Therapy wrapped up an impactful year of Councilmanic District Tours with its final stop in District 7, hosted in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office of Women Engagement Commissioners and Committee. This culminating event was a powerful celebration of mental health advocacy and community connection, bringing together leaders, advocates, and residents to reflect on the progress made throughout the year.
The gathering provided a space for meaningful discussions on mental health, highlighting its importance in building stronger, healthier communities. This year, Unorthodox Therapy partnered with the City of Philadelphia’s Women Commission and Committee to host tours in multiple councilmanic districts, fostering connections with women who are on the ground doing the work to uplift their communities.
"Our District 7 Tour was a beautiful way to close the year, surrounded by individuals who share our passion for creating spaces that prioritize mental health and healing," said Monychann (Mo) McCarty, Founder of Unorthodox Therapy. "It’s been an honor to work alongside the Mayor’s Office of Women Engagement Commissioners and Committee, building a platform that amplifies the voices of women across Philadelphia."
This year’s tours spanned various districts and brought attention to critical issues such as mental health, civic engagement, and gender equity. Each tour emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to support and empower women leaders in the community.
As Unorthodox Therapy reflects on 2024, the organization is proud of the strides made in its mission to foster healing and empowerment through holistic approaches. The District 7 Tour served as a reminder of the power of collective action and the importance of continuing these efforts in the new year.
