Unorthodox Therapy Launches Faith Based Healing Partnership with Local Church to Support Ezer Women’s Group
Philadelphia, PA — This fall, Unorthodox Therapy Inc. (UTInc.) expanded its mission of mental wellness and community care by launching a new faith based program in partnership with a local church. The program is designed to support individuals seeking spiritual healing through Christianity and to provide a safe, nurturing space for women to strengthen their faith, their identity, and their emotional well-being.
The initiative is especially meaningful to Monychann (Mo) McCarty, founder of UTInc., who is a devoted Christian and deeply committed to making faith a cornerstone of healing for those who desire it. This year, UTInc. introduced spiritual healing as an official part of its work, offering Christ centered support for women who long for the kind of love, peace, and restoration that only God can provide.
As part of this new direction, UTInc. partnered with a local church’s women’s Bible group known as Ezer, a community created specifically for wives and women committed to strengthening their marriages, their faith, and their personal walk with God. To support the group’s fall programming, UTInc. fully funded the dinners for their gatherings, ensuring that each woman could connect, learn, and grow without barriers or distractions.
“The heart of Unorthodox Therapy has always been healing,” McCarty shared. “There are women who are searching for spiritual guidance, biblical wisdom, and emotional restoration that can only be found in Christ. Partnering with the Ezer group is a beautiful way to honor that path and create a space where women can be poured into with both truth and love.”
The Ezer group, named after the Hebrew word meaning helper and warrior, embodies strength, devotion, and God centered womanhood. Through guided lessons, prayer, open conversation, and community dinners supported by UTInc., the women experienced connection and spiritual growth that went beyond a typical Bible study format.
For UTInc., this partnership reflects the belief that mental health and spiritual healing work hand in hand. By integrating faith based programs into its offerings, the organization continues to show that healing is multidimensional and that God centered support can be a powerful tool for women navigating marriage, motherhood, purpose, and personal renewal.
“Our goal is to meet women where they are,” McCarty added. “Some need community, some need tools, and some need a deeper relationship with God. This partnership is one more way we are walking with women through every part of their healing journey.”
UTInc. plans to continue investing in faith based partnerships throughout Philadelphia as part of its ongoing commitment to women’s emotional, spiritual, and relational well-being.
