UTInc. Founder Highlights Mental Health and Inflation at Mayor’s Women’s Engagement Tour

Unorthodox Therapy Founder Speaks at Mayor’s Office of Women’s Engagement Tour on Mental Health and Inflation

Philadelphia, PA — Unorthodox Therapy Inc. proudly announces that founder Monychann (Mo) McCarty was invited to speak at the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Engagement’s 30th tour stop and also facilitated powerful discussions at the 5th Councilmatic District stop. These citywide gatherings are part of a year-long initiative designed to address health, wellness, and civic engagement for women across Philadelphia’s neighborhoods.

At both events, McCarty highlighted a timely and pressing issue: maintaining mental health during the rising cost of inflation. As everyday essentials become more expensive, women and families face heightened stress and anxiety. McCarty’s message emphasized the importance of accessible coping tools, community support, and intentional release practices to safeguard emotional well-being during these uncertain economic times.

“Inflation impacts more than just our wallets; it affects our peace of mind,” McCarty shared. “We cannot control market shifts, but we can take ownership of our mental health and find strength in community. Together, we learn to release what we cannot change and build resilience for what we can.”

The Mayor’s Office of Women’s Engagement Tour brings together women leaders, local organizations, and residents in each council district to amplify resources and spark conversations that matter. For Unorthodox Therapy, this was not only an opportunity to share practical tools but also to demonstrate the organization’s mission: to bridge healing, community, and women-led solutions across Philadelphia.

By engaging both in leadership and facilitation, McCarty underscored the need for conversations that move beyond statistics and reach the human realities women are living through. Unorthodox Therapy remains committed to ensuring mental health is not overlooked in the broader conversation of civic wellness.
