Unorthodox Therapy welcomes Councilwoman Quetcy Lozada to its Seventh District Tour brunch—where mental wellness, community care, and homegrown support meet under one barn roof.
FULL RELEASE:
PHILADELPHIA — Unorthodox Therapy proudly hosted the Seventh Councilmatic District Tour alongside Councilwoman Quetcy Lozada, bringing a Sunday brunch to life in a charming barn venue right across from St. Christopher’s Hospital. As an institution rooted in this very district, Unorthodox Therapy's founder and executive director felt deep resonance with this event in her own backyard.
Councilwoman Lozada elevated the gathering by sponsoring the brunch spread, turning nourishment into both fellowship and nourishment for the soul. Throughout the event, our founder shared powerful insights on the importance of mental health and the value of collaborative municipal efforts.
“This district is my home,” said the founder of Unorthodox Therapy. “Working with the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Engagement and Councilwoman Lozada in this space made it feel like community didn’t just happen—it was baked right in.”
Over fluffy pastries and warm coffee, attendees engaged in meaningful discussions about mental wellness, accessible care, and how to make the most of city-funded programs tailored to women and families. More than a tour stop, this was reclamation of care, community, and connection—on our home turf.
