Unorthodox Therapy Founder Speaks at TWU Local 234 Women’s Committee Conference on Courage, Domestic Violence, and Mental Health

Philadelphia, PA — Unorthodox Therapy Inc. (UTInc.) proudly celebrates founder Monychann (Mo) McCarty for being invited as a featured speaker at the Transport Workers Union (TWU) Local 234 Women’s Committee Conference, held under the powerful theme “Voices of Courage.”

The conference brought together women from across the country working within the transportation industry, creating a space for honest dialogue, shared experiences, and empowerment among women navigating demanding and often high pressure environments.

McCarty joined a panel of impactful speakers, including Jamie Miller and Christina, founder of Love Shouldn’t Hurt, to address critical topics affecting women today. The conversation highlighted domestic violence awareness, resilience, and the importance of support systems for women both inside and outside of the workplace.

The panel concluded with a strong emphasis on mental health and balance, particularly for women working in industries that require long hours, emotional endurance, and physical demand. McCarty’s closing message centered on the importance of prioritizing emotional well being while continuing to show up in leadership and service roles.

“It was an honor to speak in a room filled with women who carry so much responsibility both professionally and personally,” shared Monychann (Mo) McCarty, founder of Unorthodox Therapy Inc. “Courage is not just about speaking up, it is about taking care of yourself while continuing to do the work. Mental health has to be part of that conversation.”

The Voices of Courage theme resonated deeply throughout the event, as speakers and attendees alike shared stories of strength, survival, and perseverance. The inclusion of domestic violence awareness further underscored the importance of creating safe spaces where women can be supported without judgment.

For UTInc., participating in this conference reflects its continued commitment to expanding conversations around mental health into spaces where they are often overlooked. By showing up in industries like transportation, the organization continues to advocate for accessible, real life support for women across all sectors.

The event also reinforced the importance of collaboration among women leaders and organizations who are working toward similar goals of safety, healing, and empowerment.

Unorthodox Therapy remains committed to supporting women through community based healing, mental health advocacy, and partnerships that bring meaningful conversations into every space where women live and work.
