9th District Tour Stop Highlights Holistic Healing and Mental Health Advocacy
Philadelphia, PA — The 9th District Tour Stop of One Philly’s Wonder Women Tour was held at ASPIRA Bilingual Cyber Charter School on October 5th, bringing together a full house of residents and leaders for an event centered on wellness, mental health, and community empowerment.
A highlight of the event was a presentation by Mony Chann McCarty, founder of Unorthodox Therapy Inc., who delivered an inspiring talk titled “The Power of Release.” Her presentation emphasized the importance of letting go of what no longer serves us and showcased holistic approaches to healing and mental health. Mony shared practical strategies for incorporating intentional practices into everyday life, leaving attendees empowered and encouraged.

Dr. Taliba Foster, psychiatrist and Medical Director of Main Line Psychiatric, discussing cortisol’s impact on the mind, body, and spirit.
Audra Anusionwu, lead instructor and founder of BeautiFit Strong Fitness Studio, addressing the physical and nutritional effects of stress and sharing actionable wellness strategies.
Imani Stewart Jackson, providing insight into the purpose and mission of Community Action Centers and their role in neighborhood development.
The event concluded with closing remarks and networking opportunities led by Keiwana McKinney Forde, fostering collaboration and deeper community connections.
