Unorthodox Therapy Supports Local “Moms and Minis” Group Creating Community and Connection for Mothers Across Philadelphia
Philadelphia, PA — Unorthodox Therapy Inc. (UTInc.) is proud to support Moms and Minis, a local women led community group founded by Katherine and Jen, who have opened their hearts and their time to bring mothers and their little ones together in meaningful ways.
Moms and Minis was created with a simple but powerful intention, to give mothers a safe and welcoming space to build friendships, step outdoors, and experience community with their children by their side. Through outdoor meetups, nature walks, creative activities, and shared moments of rest and laughter, the group is quickly becoming an anchor for moms seeking deeper connection in a busy and demanding world.
Motherhood is beautiful, but it can also feel isolating, overwhelming, and emotionally exhausting. Groups like Moms and Minis remind women that they do not have to do it alone. By carving out intentional time to gather, talk, breathe, and simply exist together, mothers experience community care in one of its most powerful forms.
“Supporting groups like Moms and Minis is important to our mission,” shared Monychann (Mo) McCarty, founder of UTInc. “When women come together in community, healing happens. Katherine and Jen created something that reminds mothers that connection is a form of wellness. We are honored to stand with them.”
The group’s outdoor gatherings help women feel more grounded, more seen, and more supported while creating positive memories with their children. For many mothers, these moments are often the only time in the week when they feel truly connected to other adults who understand the challenges and joys of raising little ones.
UTInc. believes in supporting local women who are stepping up to lead community spaces, especially those that nurture mental wellness, belonging, and joy. Moms and Minis is a beautiful example of how grassroots efforts can strengthen the emotional health of women and families across Philadelphia.
The partnership reflects UTInc.’s commitment to empowering women, building community connections, and promoting mental wellness in nontraditional and creative ways. Healing is found in many places, and for many mothers, it begins with community.
