Unorthodox Therapy Reflects on Councilmanic District Tours and Community Impact
Unorthodox Therapy Celebrates Past Councilmanic District Tours and Community Engagement
Philadelphia, PA – Unorthodox Therapy is proud to reflect on a series of impactful events that took place earlier this year, including tours in Philadelphia’s 8th, 6th, 7th, and 10th Councilmanic Districts. These events brought together influential women, local leaders, and community advocates to celebrate connection, resilience, and empowerment.
The tours were more than just visits—they were opportunities to witness the incredible work being done by women across Philadelphia who are laying the groundwork for change in their neighborhoods. From grassroots initiatives to community-building efforts, the women we met continue to inspire us with their dedication to helping others thrive.
In addition to these district tours, Unorthodox Therapy also had the honor of supporting the Philadelphia Southeast Asian American Community Leaders Forum, a gathering of extraordinary leaders committed to fostering equity, inclusion, and opportunity. This forum highlighted the strength and impact of diverse voices in shaping Philadelphia’s future.
“These events reminded us of the incredible power of community,” said Monychann (Mo) McCarty, Founder of Unorthodox Therapy. “Each district and community leader we engaged with brought their unique energy and passion for creating positive change. It’s moments like these that reaffirm why we do what we do—to uplift women, celebrate their achievements, and foster healing through connection.”
Though these events have passed, their impact is felt every day. As Unorthodox Therapy reflects on these powerful moments, the organization remains committed to building connections, supporting women, and fostering empowerment across Philadelphia.
