Unorthodox Therapy Joins Mayor’s Women Engagement Committee

Philadelphia, PA – Unorthodox Therapy is proud to announce that its founder, Monychann (Mo) McCarty, has officially joined the Mayor's Office of Women Engagement Committee in Philadelphia. This significant honor positions McCarty as an advocate and representative for mental health, civic engagement, and gender equity as part of the committee’s citywide 10 councilmatic district tour.

The tour, which launched earlier this year, focuses on critical issues impacting Philadelphia’s communities. The first half of the tour highlights mental health, wellness, and civic engagement, aligning with Unorthodox Therapy's mission to promote holistic and accessible healing solutions. Starting in January, the second half of the tour will address social justice, economic opportunity, and gender equity.

“This opportunity allows us to elevate our work, connecting with communities across Philadelphia to promote healing, equity, and empowerment,” said McCarty. “We’re excited to partner with the Mayor’s Office to bring these important conversations to life and ensure women and families have the tools they need to thrive.”

Unorthodox Therapy’s growing partnerships emphasize its commitment to supporting women, local businesses, and the broader Philadelphia community. Joining the Mayor’s Office of Women Engagement Committee is a testament to the organization’s impact and dedication to fostering mental health, civic engagement, and economic empowerment.
