Unorthodox Therapy Attends Governor Shapiro’s Holiday Reception, Connecting with Changemakers Shaping Pennsylvania’s Future

Philadelphia, PA — Unorthodox Therapy Inc. (UTInc.) was honored to attend Governor Josh Shapiro’s Holiday Reception, an invitation-only gathering that brought together executive leaders from across Pennsylvania representing a wide range of industries, backgrounds, and sectors.

The reception created a unique space for connection among individuals who are actively shaping policy, innovation, and community impact throughout the Commonwealth. Leaders from government, nonprofit organizations, business, public safety, education, and civic institutions gathered to reflect on the year’s progress and build relationships that will influence Pennsylvania’s future.

For UTInc., being present in a room filled with high-level leadership underscored the importance of collaboration and shared values. The reception was not only a celebration, but also an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with changemakers committed to service, equity, and long-term impact.

“It was powerful to be in a room where leadership looked so diverse, yet so aligned in purpose,” shared Monychann (Mo) McCarty, founder of Unorthodox Therapy Inc. “Spaces like this remind us that real change happens when people from different backgrounds come together with integrity and a shared commitment to the communities they serve.”

The evening reflected the strength of Pennsylvania’s leadership ecosystem and the collective responsibility of those in the room to continue shaping a state rooted in opportunity, innovation, and care for its people.

For Unorthodox Therapy, attending the reception reinforced its role as a growing nonprofit committed to contributing to conversations that influence systems, policy, and community well being. While UTInc.’s work remains grounded in mental health and women centered healing, the organization values opportunities to connect with leaders who understand that wellness and community impact are interconnected.

As the new year approaches, UTInc. looks forward to continuing to build relationships with leaders across Pennsylvania who are committed to meaningful, people centered change.
