It all started…

Unorthodox Therapy Inc. was born in the summer of 2019 from a simple yet powerful idea: a podcast aimed at empowering women by sharing their stories and life experiences.

The podcast's mission was to support and guide women navigating various challenges, from friendships and relationships to motherhood, single motherhood, marriage, and even the unique struggles of feeling like a single mother within a marriage, separation, or divorce. By highlighting the resilience and wisdom of other women, the podcast became a platform for growth, healing, and inspiration.

As the podcast grew in popularity, it became evident that the shared conversations resonated deeply with listeners. These unorthodox discussions offered a unique form of therapy and support for women from all walks of life, providing a sense of connection and understanding that traditional therapy settings might not offer.

Recognizing the immense potential of these conversations to spark positive change, the podcast evolved into Unorthodox Therapy Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the reach and impact of these transformative stories. Now, the organization's mission is to share these incredible tales of triumph and healing and create tangible opportunities for women to access affordable, alternative, and holistic therapy options.

Today, Unorthodox Therapy Inc. continues to champion women's mental health and well-being by partnering with local women-owned businesses to offer a range of therapeutic services, workshops, and events. Through the power of storytelling and community-building, we remain committed to helping women embrace their unique healing journeys and trust the process of growth and self-discovery.

Unorthodox Therapy Inc. is a groundbreaking non-profit organization that champions local women-owned businesses offering an alternative, holistic therapy options. As the first and only non-profit of its kind, we are committed to making therapy more accessible and affordable to the communities these businesses serve, with a special emphasis on non-clinical approaches to mental health and wellbeing.

We understand that healing looks different for everyone, and women shouldn't be limited by conventional notions of what therapy should be. That's why we're bridging the gap for those hesitant to seek clinical therapy, acting as a liaison and connecting people with alternative healing modalities. We partner with local women-owned businesses to offer engaging events, workshops, support groups, and conferences that deliver compelling therapeutic experiences tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

However, we've noticed a disconnect between the support these businesses receive and the affordability of their services. Many potential clients find the cost of these services prohibitive, while the women-owned businesses struggle to feel valued for their work as they constantly offer discounts. At Unorthodox Therapy Inc., we are dedicated to bridging this gap.

As an advocacy non-profit, we believe in amplifying the voices of these women who know their communities best. We want to ensure that their hard work is recognized and honored while also making their services more affordable, if not free, for those who need them the most. By providing visibility and support for these local women-owned businesses, we create a healthier and more inclusive community for everyone.

Join us at Unorthodox Therapy Inc. as we champion the incredible work of these local women-owned businesses, making alternative and holistic therapy more accessible and affordable for all. Let's reshape the landscape of mental health together, embracing the diverse healing journeys of women everywhere.
