Women, Wellness, and Philly's Best: Unorthodox Therapy Joins PCPicks 2024

In March 2024, Philly Current Magazine hosted its 12th annual PCPicks2024 aboard the historic Moshulu. This much-anticipated event brought together an incredible mix of entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders, showcasing the energy and creativity that make Philadelphia a hub for talent and innovation. The evening was brimming with inspiration, reconnections, and new collaborations that perfectly captured the spirit of Philly.

Unorthodox Therapy Inc., a non-profit based in Philadelphia dedicated to supporting women's mental health, proudly joined the celebration. Our work to uplift and empower women business owners was in perfect harmony with the collaborative energy of PCPicks. The event provided a platform to deepen our connections with the city's movers and shakers, reinforcing our shared commitment to fostering growth and support within the community.

Among the remarkable women present was Ronica Cleary, a PR maven whose firm continues to help businesses find their voice and thrive. Also in attendance was Nichole McHenry, the creative mind behind Nichole MCH Photography (nicholemchphotography.com), whose stunning work brings life to every project she touches.

Alia Sobel, founder of Lentil and Co. in Ardmore, also graced the event. Her restaurant and wellness initiatives embody the intersection of healing and nourishment, inspiring both her community and peers. We were thrilled to be joined by Krystle Rich-Bell, a 4-time Emmy-nominated journalist and sportscaster for KTLA 5 News, whose trailblazing career in sports media continues to break barriers for women.

Capturing the excitement of the evening was none other than HughE Dillon, the legendary photographer behind Philly Chit Chat, whose iconic shots have become synonymous with Philadelphia’s most high-profile events. His work documents the city’s social heartbeat, and his photos from PCPicks2024 were no exception.

Adding to the list of incredible women was Davida Janae, a digital creator and stylist specializing in fashion, home, and lifestyle content. You can find her chic, trendsetting work at vidafashionista.com, where she continues to inspire through her unique vision and style.

The event, made possible by Philly Current Magazine founder Eddie Keels, was a celebration of Philadelphia’s entrepreneurial spirit. It provided a vibrant platform to spotlight those shaping the city’s future and allowed Unorthodox Therapy Inc. to connect and collaborate with others committed to empowering local businesses.
