Unorthodox Therapy Inc. Launches to Support AAPI Women Entrepreneurs in Wellness Forging Unity & Strength for a Thriving Community

Philadelphia, PA – Unorthodox Therapy Inc., a Philadelphia-based non-profit cooperative, celebrated its official launch on January 31, 2024, at Ding Feng Tang restaurant in Chinatown. Founded by Monychann (Mony) McCarty, Unorthodox Therapy Inc. focuses on supporting Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) women entrepreneurs in the wellness space. The organization provides a platform for healing, collaboration, and empowerment within the community.

The event brought together women leaders dedicated to supporting and uplifting one another through their entrepreneurial journeys. Mony McCarty, founder of Unorthodox Therapy Inc., is committed to creating opportunities for women to thrive in their businesses while contributing to the well-being of others.

  • Majet Reyes, founder of DivaGirl Community, a lifestyle group that empowers women through workshops, international volunteer trips, and supportive events.

  • Adeline Koh, owner of Sabbatical Beauty, a skincare brand focused on healing and sustainability, which helps women entrepreneurs in wellness grow socially impactful businesses.

  • Stefne Wang, curator of AAPI Unite, a platform connecting AAPI women entrepreneurs and providing mentorship, resources, and community.
